500 Words On Wall E

Wall E is about a robot named Wall E and his journey for love. In a future version of  earth humans messed up. Earth is no longer habitable and humans need to leave. They leave in giant ships to space awaiting the day earth can harvest life again. They leave robots called Wall E to clean it up. The movie only shows one Wall E who has seemed to gain a personality. Wall E is a robot that is curious about what the earth he is cleaning up and wanders around collecting remnants of what was left. He is quirky and uncoordinated. He is also a fan of Musicals and love. He is lonely and craves another companion besides his cricket. One day a robot called EVE arrives and Wall E falls in love right away. EVE wanders around investigating while Wall E follows constantly making a fool of himself. Eve is on a destructive mission, but soon finds an interest in Wall E. The movie has them interact iin such away as a young couple. Then as Wall E is showing off his stuff she sees his plant and takes it and then shuts off. All of a sudden Wall E is alone again. Doing his best to try and wake EVE Wall E stays by her side. The ship that brought her there soon returns to take her and Wall E follows in the name of love. They end up at a ship that took the humans. Everywhere humans are obese floating in chairs doing nothing productive. EVE and Wall E then try to show the captain that earth is habitable again only to find out that they never intended on going back. Wall E and Eve then fight their way with other robots and humans trying to get back to earth and stop the evil ships auto pilot. During al this Wall E and Eve become closer and in love. As they get back to earth Eve tries to revive an injured Wall E who seems to have gone back to his original work. Eve tries to bring him back and gives up until she holds his hand and he suddenly is good ol Wall E again, happy to finally be doing what he wanted since the beginning. Holding her hand finding a companion, so he isn’t lonely. I love this movie. There are so many cool things about it. First is that there’s no dialogue for about the first half of the movie, they communicate by cool sounds and is really funny. Also even though this was a cool pixars child movie, it also had a scary truth to it. It shows a possible future for humans in two ways. We are either gonna fuck up the earth even more until it’s dangerous for us, or that we will become lazy and rely on technology as it takes over. Even Though a lot of thing that seem impossible would need to happen it’s still scary. I like that this pixar movie about a robot in love can have a dark background being there the whole time.

500 Words on The Social Network

The Social Network is a movie based on the origins of how facebook got started and the guy that made it. Mark Zuckerberg is played as a smart asshole that doesn’t really care about others or about actual social events. He’s seemingly emotionless, but his actions prove otherwise later in the movie. He goes to school for programming and is really good at it. The movie opens up with him on a date with his girlfriend and ends up with her breaking up with him. Clearly to everyone that it was his fault, everyone except him. He insists that she did it because he is a nerd, but she tells him it’s because he’s an asshole. He goes home and get drunk. He decides to talk shit about her on his blog. At the same time he makes a website that has him hack top college internet security and take pictures of every girl. The website shows you various girls and you decide which one is hotter. He gets a lot of views that get him noticed by members of a Final Club, which he desperately wants a part of. They notice his skills as a web designer and ask him to make a website for them, He says yes, but never does, He makes a better similar idea, thus Facebook is created, These members try to sue him and his friend for stealing their idea, but Mark swears that they didn’t use any of thier code and made a better idea and website. The site gets popular and expands out to more places. Mark and his best friend Eduardo start seeing it as a buisness, but have different views. Eduardo wants to try and market slowly while Mark wants to make big progress fast. Eventually the guy who started nabster finds them and helps Mark turn the website into a big company behind Eduardo’s back. Mark even tricks Eduardo into doing stuff, Mark is now very wealthy, but has made a lot of enemies from being an asshole. Eduardo and the Final Club members sue Mark. This is how the rest of the story is told. In the court sessions where it’s from flashbacks from the main characters, but not at the same place or time. They would show a scene and then go to one of the people describing it as if they were telling someone about that scene  the whole time. In the end he gets sued and ends up alone. This whole movie had a couple themes such as Greed and identity. I think identity was the main one. The identity them showed itself many times. The identity of our generation and how we all interact relating to facebook. The way people were nosy about other peoples info and wanting to have friends on there and how important it was to add all these people and be a a part of it.I enjoyed this movi a lot and it was the first time I seen it, so it was all new to me.
