400 word Children Of MEn

Children of Men are a film that takes place in a futuristic dystopian world. The world has gone to shit and only London being a safe place, but even London is messed up. Humans can no longer have babies and segregation.  Anyone that wasn’t from there was sent back or put in concentration camps. The movie begins with the youngest person in the world has died. He was 18 years old and that lets the viewer’s know that something isn’t right. Everyone is in tears because it signifies how close the human race is to total extinction. The main character walks out a coffee shop after hearing the news and shortly after gets blown up. He looks back as if it’s nothing.  He ends up helping the only hope to save mankind, by helping the only woman who has gotten pregnant in years. Throughout this movie the director uses some cool camera techniques. He uses long takes about 7 minutes long. That is something that many people haven’t done. I think the action and suspense is more dramatic and interesting that way. There’s also this scene where the main characters are in a building and there are broken windows all inside. Two of the main characters are talking inside while the pregnant woman is outside in the background. During this conversation every time you see the woman in the back ground she was shown clearly in the holes of the window and never behind the dirty glass. This film technique was supposed to show that the woman is a sign of hope and joy. There’s another technique he uses that has the camera follow the main character. It makes you feel like you’re in the movie looking through the eyes. It has you turning your head with the camera and feels realistic and cool. This movie had a cool story on dystopia and somewhat possible problems we can face in the future. It also has a lot of cool camera work that you have to pay attention to notice.

400 Words on Eternal Sunshine of the SpotlessMind

In Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a romance movie starring Jim Carrey. Not seeing Jim Carrey in a comedy movie made me think I wasn’t going to like it adding to the fact that I don’t even like falling in love and then erases each other from their memories, literally. They find each other again and fall in love again then find out about their previous relations and start again knowing it might repeat. I thought this movie was cool because they weren’t your typical couple. They didn’t have any ridiculous obstacles they had to overcome to be together. They mutually broke up because they didn’t like each other anymore and had real problems. They both go to a place where they can have the other person wiped completely from their mind. To do this they must get rid of every single thing they have that relates to the other. Then they go to their homes at night and undergo the process in your sleep. During Jim’s procedure he wanted to stop it and was trying to hide in his memories while saving his memory of Clementine, his girlfriend in the movie. There’s a cool camera technique they use when he’s in one of his childhood memories where he is hiding under the table. The movie makes it one scene, but It took many takes because it switched from his view he is a kid being played by a different kid actor. When Clem is looking at him he is Jim Carrey. They both however fit under the table which means that they had two different tables for the scenes. They also have the beginning of the movie really be the ending which is cool. There is also the part where he is in his memories and the movie goes from romance to sci-fi action. Cars start falling they are traveling memory to memory. It gets more dramatic and fiction like. This movie was a good romance movie that wasn’t lame like other ones, and very cool characters and an interesting story.

Animal Farm 400 words

Animal Farm by George Orwell is novel that is written like a fable. The story is full of animals that represent certain kinds of people and has a moral in the end. This novel uses examples of dictatorship and communism as themes for the farm. Each character represents a certain kind of person. The whole story revolves around farm animals wanting equality amongst each other and humans. Old major, who was an old boar, was someone all the animals looked up to. On his deathbed he spoke of an upcoming rebellion and teaches them the song Beasts of England. The song is like an anthem to them. His final speech and death sparked the rebellion amongst the animals. Two other pigs decide that it is up to them to start the rebellion. Napoleon is a big pig that gets his way with intimidation and force. Snowball wins others with great speeches. They use the term “Comrade” which gives them the characteristics of famous dictators such as Stalin. These two use their charm and leadership to convince the animals to kick Jones out. Jones is the farmer who is seen as the current dictator. The pigs describe him as an evil drunk tyrant. There are other important animal figures that represent the people who follow the pigs. Boxer the horse is a loyal hardworking follower that everyone looks up to. He will do anything the pigs tell him. However he is also gullible and dumb. He sometimes questions his orders, but only briefly and then dismissing them. He represents those who blindly follow dictators and do what they say without thinking. There are many other animals, but the pigs are the main characters. As they slowly start deceiving the other farm animals more and more, the pigs have a struggle for leadership. Napoleon refuses to share leadership with Snowball and runs him out the farm. Since then Napoleon has said that Snowball was a traitor the whole time, and becomes a scapegoat. Anytime something goes wrong Snowball was the culprit. As things get worse the pigs start doing things that are now obviously wrong to every animal. They move into Jones house start wearing clothes. The animals are stunned as to why. The pigs start getting more violent and executing animals. The animals are wondering if it was better with Jones around. With most of the animals gone or dead there is no changing the way things are. The way the farm is now described like a labor camp. The pigs are now associating with other humans and walking on two legs. The farm animals peek in on them one night having a night with business men. To their terror they could barely tell the difference between the humans and pigs. The ending has them turning into men while they were already representing humans. This is an analogy on how humans have acted just like the pigs in this story.
